Week in Hilton Head

We had a wonderful week at Hilton Head Island. Grayson did really well staying on his schedule and we were able to go to dinner every night around 5pm. He would play in his car seat until the very end of dinner. We brought a lot of his toys with us and it kept him very occupied so we could enjoy a nice dinner together. It was perfect! We took Grayson to the beach for the first time and he was definitely not in love with it. He did okay at first, but then started crying. He is a pool lover for now! We went down to the pool almost everyday in between his afternoon naps. When we first booked our trip to the beach, we reserved a room at the Westin, but then changed it to renting a condo at the Sandcastle near Folly Beach. The hubby is a genius and realized we would have to go to bed every night so early and during naps, we would have to be really quiet. Having a condo with two bedrooms was perfect! We had lots of room and Grayson could sleep in peach and quiet in his pack and play in his room. We were able to enjoy our free time during his nap to watch tv, read, or sip on an adult beverage on the balcony. Our trip to Ohio a month or so ago didn't go as well as this trip, practice must make perfect! Last time, his schedule got turned upside down. Our next trip is back to the beach and then in the Fall, we are flying to Phoenix... Grayson's first plane ride!! I'm very nervous.

Restaurants we went to while in Hilton Head:
Catch 22 - FAVORITE! I'm not lying, we ate there 3 nights! Everything we had was delicious! We loved the crab and red pepper soup, oysters on the half, crab cakes, short ribs, grouper, peanut butter sushi! Yum!
Alexanders - Food was alright, Grayson enjoyed the view out the window. They had a three course early bird special that was a good price.
Japanese place near Catch 22 on New Orleans, I will have to get the name from my husband. It was a great meal!
